The purpose of the Evening with an Author series is to gather individuals who enjoy books, wine and smart conversation. The Tennessean describes the series as "a monthly opportunity for local literary aficionados to connect with writers in the fresh setting of an art gallery." The series features a wide range of genres including Southern literature, personal memoir, historical fiction, cooking, poetry, mystery, business history, politics and philosophy. Ginna Foster started up the critically acclaimed series in 2007.
