The purpose of the Evening with an Author series is to gather individuals who enjoy books, wine and smart conversation. The Tennessean describes the series as "a monthly opportunity for local literary aficionados to connect with writers in the fresh setting of an art gallery." The series features a wide range of genres including Southern literature, personal memoir, historical fiction, cooking, poetry, mystery, business history, politics and philosophy. Ginna Foster started up the critically acclaimed series in 2007.

Barry Kitterman will read from and sign The Baker's Boy at Martha’s (5025 Harding Road / Belle Meade Plantation) from 6:00-7:00pm on Thursday, February19th.

Lorraine Lopez will read from and sign The Gifted Gabaldon Sisters at Martha’s (5025 Harding Road / Belle Meade Plantation) from 6:00-7:00pm on Thursday, March 19th. 

Mike Glasgow will read from and sign The Bridge: The Eric Volz Story: Murder, Intrigue, and a Struggle for Justice in Nicaragua at Martha’s (5025 Harding Road / Belle Meade Plantation) from 6:00-7:00pm on Thursday, April 16th.
